About Anya

Like many of you, my health journey has had many twists and turns, plateaus, frustrations and peaks.  I know what it’s like to feel tired, burnt out and have food addictions, as well as feel disconnected from myself, my purpose and my body. 


In 2018, I was 28 and living the “American Dream” in Chicago. I had achieved enough success in my career as a design professional to buy my own condo, travel and spend my money as I pleased, packing every moment of my calendar. “Rest” wasn’t in my vocabulary. I was deeply immersed in the “daily grind” – working long hours, traveling for work regularly, exercising to exhaustion, and at times tracking every single calorie and macro I ate. Soon, my body began to feel the consequences of burnout and fatigue—resulting in injuries and chronic pain.  I knew I needed to make some big changes if I was going to heal. So, in January 2019, I bought a one-way flight to Asia and left the "American Dream" behind.

My experiences abroad ranged widely, from receiving my Level 1 Reiki certification in India to studying Ayurvedic medicine and completing Panchakarma in Nepal. I continued practicing Transcendental Meditation daily and completed a 10-day silent Vipassana meditation in the Himalayas. I was certified in Natural Building and Permaculture in Thailand and took part in my second Yoga Teacher Training program in Panama. My idea of health shifted to a more holistic perspective, finding balance and nourishment through all facets of life. In slowing down, I finally connected with myself.

From then on, I knew I wanted to help others improve their health and wellness -- to help them discover their own vision of what health means for them and support them in creating the life that matches that vision. In March of 2021 I graduated from the world’s largest and most respected nutrition and health coaching school, the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, as a Health Coach. I believe that everyone has their own unique path to health. I believe that food is medicine, and as your coach, I will help you get to the root of your health roadblocks. I will strive to help you find nourishment through all aspects of life, on and off the plate, and to help you learn how to cultivate a lifestyle that feels true for you.
